On the Construction of Forest Space in Urgun's Novels
Abstract
This paper focuses on Urgun's novel creation. Through the study of spatial writing in his short stories, it summarizes the binary structure of Urgun's writing of forest space and the ethnic group memory reflected in the writing of the internal forest space. This paper argues that Urgun's "emphasis on the interior and neglect of the exterior" in spatial writing is not necessarily due to his inability to handle contemporary issues, but a strategic choice in the face of history. The conflict between old and new hunters in literary space is also the difficulty of expression when Urgun has to face the dilemma of modernity.
