Abstract

As one of the five cities opened to the outside world, Fuzhou is a place where Western countries are conducting commercial trade and political and diplomatic activities in full swing. With the continuous increase in the population of foreign expatriates, the demand for office and living environments is also increasing, and a series of modern buildings have emerged under this background. The author summarizes and analyzes the craftsmanship, decorative patterns and localized transformation in modern architecture by investigating the existing historical elements and combining them with the background of the times. During the construction process, influenced by Fuzhou's local culture, weather and craftsmanship, some historical elements that should be extremely Western in character have also been integrated into Fuzhou's characteristics.
